Of course landlords are protective of their homes, but sometimes this goes deep into their ecosystem. Two different landlords had a passion for fauna and asked us to negotiate the following clauses with the incoming tenants, which we did happily:

“The tenant agrees to close the curtains at night during the glow worm mating season in the wildlife meadow.”

“The tenant agrees not to cut the grass in the frog breeding season.”
